[WATCH] Two Sisters Try and Strangle Mother, and That’s Not Even The Worst Part!
WILLOWICK, Ohio– Two sisters admitted they planned to kill their mother on Thanksgiving, Willowick police say.
Jennifer Barnes, 22, and Joanna Barnes, 24, are charged with attempted murder. Their bonds were set at $50,000 on Monday.
According to court documents, Jennifer and Joanna Barnes braided together three USB cables and put them around their mother’s neck on Nov. 26. The sisters each pulled on an end of the cord, tightening it around the 56-year-old victim, the criminal complaint said.
The three women began to struggle and that’s when Joanna Barnes put two towels around her mom’s neck in another attempt to strangle her, court documents said. Jennifer Barnes is accused of grabbing a pillow to try to smother her mother.
One of the suspects even said, “You are going to die tonight,” records from the Willoughby Municipal Court said.
The incident was reported when the victim went to the hospital for treatment.
Willowick Police Chief Michael Lazor said the daughters told officers about the plot to kill their mother and were arrested without incident.
